“Denny’s General Store“, sells camping necessities including ice, wood, charcoal, propane and Coleman fuel for small grills and lanterns, dairy, canned goods, and best of all candy, ice cream, soda, and many SNACKS!!!!
If you would like we have a grocery store five minutes away in the town of Schroon Lake. Campground Store
There is also a liquor store
Post office, many bars and restaurants, Sticks and Stones Wood Fired Bistro and Bar, old time Movie Theater, boat launch and 4 hour docking.
There are shops with antiques and historic artifacts, Pizza shops, beautiful/free sandy beach at the top of Schroon Lake, tennis courts, library, health clinic, Historical Society, Golf Course, Churches, July 4th Celebration with fireworks, Arts and Crafts Fair in July and much more. This little town of a population of only around 2,000 people comes alive every summer and is filled with fun and activities!
The Boathouse Theatre and Adirondack Folk Music Festival are part of the Schroon Lake Arts Council. There is so much culture going on in the Town of Schroon Lake.

If you’re looking to have the greatest summer
that you can have, then make sure you do your camping at Medcalf Acres Riverfront Campground. With so many options of fun things to do, you will wonder why you haven’t stayed here before. It is the little gem in the rough that you have been looking for. Don’t forget about the Paradox Brewery only 10 minutes away right off Exit 27 of the Northway (I-87) or you can visit the Buffalo Farm off of exit 29 and then head 5-10 minutes to the west at 3187 Blue Ridge Road. You can’t miss it! Fresh baked goods, Buffalo meat and delicious home baked pies!

If we don’t have what you are looking for, there are a few hardware stores minutes away and a supermarket minutes away. Store hours vary but we are open most of July and August from 9am-9pm. Need a bag of pre-packaged ice just call and we will deliver it to you at your RV. If you need something that we don’t carry, just ask us and we will try to accommodate you if we can!
It seems like yesterday
when we were buying penny candy. Not any more! Sad but true! Come on in and visit our campground store where you’ll find chocolates for half the price of what other stores charge. Our bulk candy is also at a great rate per pound!

We have a Snow-cone machine
Popcorn machine, pre-packaged Cotton Candy, pre-packaged Nachos Cheese & Chips & a Pucker Powder machine that dispenses flavored sugars in a tube like a pixie stick at the Campground Store Medcalf Acres.
We have pre-packaged Ice, Soda (Pepsi products), pre-packaged Ice cream, and many camping items.

We have lots of different types of Candy to choose from! For your 20lb, 30lb, etc. Propane tank refills you can get them done five minutes away in Town.
We carry some RV parts.
